Decoding O-Level Math: Why It Matters O-Level Math’s Impact and Importance
Our Mission
We embrace the philosophy that math is like running a marathon rather than a sprint; learning and mastering math is a gradual and continuous process, not something that can be achieved quickly. It requires long-term and persistent commitment, regular practice, and an unwavering dedication to learning.
At Mathathon, we look to foster critical thinking, develop problem-solving skills, and a deep conceptual grasp of math concepts, with the aim of presenting the practicality of math in the real world to students.
OUR PROGRAMMES
We Believe
Every Student Can Excel In Math
PRIMARY SCHOOL
Students are introduced to fundamental mathematical concepts and skills that form the basis for more advanced learning in Secondary School. A key area of focus in Mathathon is problem sum solving, where students will look to develop critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving strategies, preparing them for PSLE.
Primary 6
Primary 3
SECONDARY SCHOOL
Elementary & Additional Math
Secondary 4
Secondary Math expands upon the mathematical knowledge acquired in primary school, introducing more advanced concepts and problem-solving techniques in topics such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry and calculus.
We aim to cultivate and develop students' analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and mathematical literacy, providing them with essential skills for higher education.
Secondary 1
JUNIOR COLLEGE
The transition from Secondary to Junior College Math marks a significant leap in complexity and depth of mathematical concepts, requiring students to adapt to a more advance and fast-paced curriculum. The idea of handling abstract ideas can be overwhelming for students. However, with the right support, students can overcome these struggles and develop a solid understanding of the subject in Junior College.
